Aurora Ice Fishing 5 Hour Adventure
Experience Alaska's magic - above and below the ice. 8PM-1AM
Service Description
Step onto the frozen lakes of Interior Alaska for an unforgettable evening of ice fishing beneath the shimmering aurora. This unique adventure combines the thrill of catching fish through the ice with the magic of the northern lights dancing overhead—an adventure found only in the heart of the Arctic. 🧊🧊Be prepared: it will be cold🧊🧊. Arctic evenings often drop well below zero, but that’s part of what makes this trip authentically Alaskan. Please dress in multiple winter layers, hat, gloves, face protection, and boots rated for subzero Temperatures. We’ll provide a heated shelter and warm drinks to keep you comfortable while you fish the night away, however, even minutes in the extreme cold of interior Alaska can cause frostbite if not properly dressed. This adventure is not recommended for individuals with mobility issues, you should expect some physical activity, including walking through deep snow to reach our fishing spot. Our meetup location is 30-45 minutes outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, offering darker skies, quieter lakes, and a better chance of seeing the aurora away from city lights. Once you reach the fishing site, we'll have a heated shelter waiting to help you stay comfortable. PLEASE NOTE: ❗The Aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, weather and sky clarity must be the ideal conditions for viewing. We set the length, time, and location of this adventure to be optimal for an increased chance of Northern Lights sightings. ❗While our guide works hard to provide the best possible ice fishing experience, catching fish can never be guaranteed. Ice conditions, weather, and natural fish behavior all play a role in daily success on the ice. Our goal is to give you a safe, enjoyable, and educational adventure with the highest chances of success, but the final outcome is ultimately up to nature. ❗Restroom availability is limited, as there is no facility out on the ice. No prior fishing experience is needed—we supply all the gear, instruction, and local knowledge, our Guides are experienced through many years in winter survival, and safety on the ice. We monitor ice quality and thickness to ensure safety. A VALID SPORT FISHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED. See our Fishing License section for info. For family/groups more than 4 guests please contact us for availability. Join us for a night where the sky glows, the lines tighten, and the stories practically write themselves. This is Alaska the way it was meant to be experienced.
