Current Weather in North Pole, Alaska

Ice and Fishing Conditions:

January 1st, 2026 update:

We have had over a month now of -20°F and below weather, some days have been -45° here in North Pole, Alaska, with very small breaks in between. It's Cold!

But its making for very strong ice conditions, the ice is around 30" thick in most places I have drilled.

Catch rate has fell with the cold weather, however we've still been able to land multiple fish per trip, and its been slow primarily during the night fishing trips.

We're still getting lots of activity on the underwater cameras, but the fish aren't committing to the bite. We're still smiling because it's so much fun to watch the fish on our cameras!
