Step into the heart of an authentic Alaskan winter with our fully guided ice fishing adventure in North Pole, Alaska. Perfect for both beginners and experienced anglers, this trip combines comfort, excitement, and the rugged charm of Alaska’s frozen lakes. After a warm welcome and a safety briefing, your guide will lead you out onto the ice and into your private heated fishing hut—designed to keep you comfortable and protected no matter how cold the day gets. We provide all the gear you’ll need, including rods, reels, tackle, and safety equipment. You’ll also get to use top-of-the-line electronics such as underwater ice-fishing cameras, and flasher units that reveal the underwater world below the ice. Your guide will teach you how to read the electronics, recognize subtle bites, and use the most effective techniques for local species such as trout, landlocked salmon, and Arctic char. We'll have hot drinks including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate to keep you warm and refreshed. If you’d like to try fishing outside the hut, we can set up additional holes, depending on the conditions. And for one of the most memorable parts of the experience—if we pull up a keeper, we’ll cook your fresh catch right there on the ice. There’s nothing quite like tasting a hot, perfectly cooked fish just minutes after pulling it from the lake—an Alaskan moment you won’t forget. This Adventure will begin at Chena Lakes Recreation Area, just a short drive from Fairbanks and North Pole, AK.
